                                  WRITE TO ACT WORKSHOPS

Monday Evenings  6 pm  til  8:30 pm

           May 3rd & 17th, June 7th & 21st, July 19th & August 2nd, 2010

Dear Actors,

With strong backgrounds in acting, and play/screenwriting, I’ve

experienced the benefits of linking the two arts to improve the work

and marketability of the actor.

It has been a passion of mine to develop writing skills in actors.

Working through the mind of the writer presents the actor with a

richer understanding of inner-monologue (subtext), to create more

focused character development and a deeper presentation of dialogue.

Since launching the Write To Act workshop series, the results have

far exceeded my expectations!  Every actor who has self-authored a

monologue and/or scene has improved their acting ability in the

process.  It starts the moment the actor breaks through the barriers

of “I always wanted to try this, but didn’t think I could write,” or “I was

taught in school never to write my own monologue…”       Peter DeAnello

The Monologue to the Scene -  Writing for Actors!

From the Monologue to the Scene The purpose of the Write To Act Workshop is to empower the actor to access and develop the literary tools necessary to create an original vehicle for success.

Many actors, including Chazz Palminteri, Sam Shephard & Bill Bob Thornton have successfully built their acting careers with their own write to act philosophy.

Actors who access their writing skills:

*Take charge of their careers by creating a new opportunity to showcase talent (many well-respected, highly successful actors have created a successful edge in the business with a collection of personally constructed audition pieces).

*Unleash an automatic third dimension (emotional attachment) to their work (most monologues & scenes are developed from life experience – the heart and soul of self-written work).

*Own a piece of work that is exclusively theirs (eliminating any comparison to an actor who originated a previously produced monologue or scene).

*Develop a second talent (for creative satisfaction or as a tool for success).

Students will be coached under the Six Step Write To Act process found in the book, The Monologue From Mystery To Mastery.
